Eat, Drink And Help Out

If you're in Hanoi on the 11th you can go to a fundraiser for a restaurant/job training program. They're called Koto and they offer food service industry training for disadvantaged youth. 61 Van Mieu Street, Hanoi between 6.30 and 8pm

Isn't that redundant?

There's an ad for Boss Hogg Jerky on my page.

An experiment in Dulce de Leche

Lots of good things from Foodgoat. I've been going through the Sept. 03 archives.

I had a friend whose aunt worked at the UN in the fifties and sixties. Her take on hidden surprises was ‘Never order anything with a sauce. You have no idea what they're serving under it.’

WOW! Wired on Wheels - More Dead Than Alive

Interesting site designed to help people with disabilities find accessible restaurants. This is done through a system of posted reviews. But good luck finding out if you can get your wheel chair in or if there's a braille menu because while there are lots of places listed very few of them have reviews and the whole thing is virtually useless. Good news for those in Boston though, if you like Chinese, Grand Chau Chow is reasonably accessible and the food is terrific. Try the clams in black bean sauce.
